Product Information
Overview
If you’ve ever felt your Subaru lurch forward after a hard shift, you already know why this mod matters. From the factory, the Subaru pitch stop mount is a weak link. It’s a hollow, cast piece of aluminum with soft rubber bushings - designed more for comfort than performance. Under hard throttle, engine braking, or aggressive shifting, it flexes. The whole drivetrain rocks back and forth. You feel it as slop in the shifter. You hear it as drivetrain knock. You lose connection with your car.
The HRD Precision Machined Pitch Stop Mount eliminates all of that.
We designed our pitch stop from 7000-series billet aluminum - a far stronger and more robust alloy than the 6061 that is commonly used. It's over-engineered by choice. When you’re controlling the violent back-and-forth motion between your engine and firewall, strength matters. Precision matters. So we machined it to tight tolerances, applied our iconic Apex Silver anodized finish, and chose bushing materials with intent.
We spec’d 75A durometer bushings - a step above the beloved JDM Group N STi mount, but far from the rattly polyurethane found in race-only alternatives. Why? Because this part is as much about feel as it is about function. You want that clean and crisp engagement, without making your interior sound like a toolbox on gravel. This is NVH-conscious, not NVH-blind.
Ask around on any Subaru forum - this is one of the top “first mods” for a reason. It’s affordable. It’s easy to install. And it transforms the way your car feels.
On/off throttle transitions become smoother. Shifts feel tighter. The drivetrain feels more cohesive. You feel more in control - not because the car got faster, but because it now feels like it should have from the start. Tight, connected, and intentional.
It’s the kind of mod that makes you look forward to shifting. That makes heel-toe rev matches feel sharper. You'll fall in love with your car, all over again.

Technical Specs
This component is precision machined from billet 7000-series alloy, offering significant strength improvements versus the more commonly used 6061. We incorporate our iconic Titan Frost titanium on the bushing pins. Specially formulated polyurethane bushings offer an incredible performance benefit over your OE style mounts, without an excessive increase in NVH. Our aluminum components are finished in a Type II anodize for superior corrosion resistance and a finish that will look great for years to come.

Dual Duty Design
The modern enthusiast asks their car to live two very different lives. It has to start every morning, survive traffic, and stay quiet enough to hold a conversation. Then, on demand, it has to feel sharp, confident and absolutely ready to hunt lap times or podiums.
At Happy Racer Development, that tension is not a problem to hide, it's the foundation of our Dual Duty philosophy. From dampers to drivetrain mounts to shifting hardware, every HRD component is engineered to operate across a wide spectrum of use, delivering real performance without sacraficing the ability to actually live with the car.
Refinement without loss of drivability is where Dual Duty truly differentiates itself. Anyone can make a part that feels extreme for a few laps; our goal is controlled, repeatable performance that you can live with every day.
