Product Information
Overview
The 9th Gen Honda Civic Si rewards every smart upgrade you make. As you add power, grip, and more serious suspension, the soft OEM transmission mount quickly becomes apparent. The drivetrain moves more than it should, shifts feel a little vague, and putting power down cleanly out of corners becomes harder than it needs to be. If you've already added a rear motor mount and upper passenger side pitch mount, this is your next move.
What you are feeling is excessive drivetrain motion that your OEM mounts are allowing to occur. While your factory mounts are designed to favor complacency over drivetrain connectedness, once you've began modifying your 9th Gen or doing your first track days the trade-offs become more apparent than ever. The HRD Precision Machined 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si Transmission Mount is built to tighten that connection and let the rest of your setup work as intended.
This transmission mount is designed to better control how the engine and gearbox move under load, especially during hard shifts, launches, and rapid on/off throttle transitions. By reducing unwanted movement at the transmission side of the drivetrain, gear engagement feels more positive, and your inputs translate more cleanly to forward motion.
The result is a more direct, mechanical feel from the driver’s seat. Shifts slot in with greater confidence, mid-corner corrections feel more precise, and the chassis as a whole responds with a sharper, more unified character. We precision machine this mount out of billet 7000-series alloy for its superior strength characteristics, taking the at any cost approach that HRD is known for.
Instead of replacing the entire lower bracket assembly, this mount is designed to work with the factory Honda lower bracket. That decision is intentional. The OEM bracket keeps factory geometry and alignment, which means you get OE-level fitment without fighting the car during installation. Retaining the OEM lower bracket also pays off for enthusiasts already running, or planning to run, a battery relocation tray. Using the OEM lower bracket maintains compatibility with popular aftermarket battery tray relocation kits, avoiding the interference issues that a full replacement solution creates.
The end result is simple. A cleaner, easier install that fits the way it should the first time, with all of the benefits you've come to expect from a component engineered for performance without compromise.
True to HRD’s dual-duty philosophy, each transmission mount ships ready to run with our 65A polyurethane bushings pre-installed. This durometer is an ideal choice for most street and spirited driving builds, offering a dramatic reduction in drivetrain movement over stock while keeping NVH at a very reasonable level. For drivers who want to push the chassis even harder, every mount also includes a full set of our 80A bushings in the box. Swapping to the stiffer bushings increases drivetrain rigidity further, sharpening shift feel with an even greater reduction in wheel hop for dual-duty or track-focused cars.
When paired with our rear engine mount and passenger side pitch mount, this transmission mount becomes a key part of a properly locked-down drivetrain package. With all ends of the drivetrain better controlled, wheel hop is reduced, shifts feel more consistent, and the car is easier to drive right at the limit.
On the street, you will notice cleaner on/off throttle transitions and a more cohesive, connected feel from the front end. On track or during hard driving, the feedback becomes more predictable, letting you focus on your line instead of managing slop in the drivetrain. The end result is a refined, true dual-duty and motorsports ready drivetrain package.

Technical Specs
This component is precision machined from billet 7000-series alloy, offering significant strength improvements versus the more commonly used 6061. We incorporate our iconic Titan Frost titanium on the bushing pins. Specially formulated polyurethane bushings offer an incredible performance benefit over your OE style mounts, without an excessive increase in NVH. Our aluminum components are finished in a Type II anodize for superior corrosion resistance and a finish that will look great for years to come.

Dual Duty Design
The modern enthusiast asks their car to live two very different lives. It has to start every morning, survive traffic, and stay quiet enough to hold a conversation. Then, on demand, it has to feel sharp, confident and absolutely ready to hunt lap times or podiums.
At Happy Racer Development, that tension is not a problem to hide, it's the foundation of our Dual Duty philosophy. From dampers to drivetrain mounts to shifting hardware, every HRD component is engineered to operate across a wide spectrum of use, delivering real performance without sacraficing the ability to actually live with the car.
Refinement without loss of drivability is where Dual Duty truly differentiates itself. Anyone can make a part that feels extreme for a few laps; our goal is controlled, repeatable performance that you can live with every day.
