HRD RBC Throttle Body Adapter Plate for 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si
The OEM 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si (9th Generation) intake manifold has 3 vacuum ports. When installing an RBC intake manifold, you will find that there are only 2 ports available on the manifold. This adapter plate will provide you with the 3rd port necessary for installation, which is to be connected to your brake booster line. This kit also comes with an accessory 1/8" NPT hole which provides a boost reference for accessories such as a boost gauge, blow-off-valve, wastegate, or fuel pressure regulator. The HRD RBC Throttle Body Adapter Plate is precision machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized in HRD Midnight Navy for a durable and aesthetic finish.
Thermal Conductivity
Aluminum's thermal conductivity helps in managing heat transfer between the throttle body and intake manifold. While the spacer is designed to reduce heat soak, 6061 aluminum minimizes localized hotspots and ensures the spacer maintains structural integrity under varying temperature conditions.
Corrosion Resistance
6061 aluminum naturally resists corrosion due to the formation of a protective oxide layer. This is crucial for throttle body spacers, which are exposed to air, moisture, and fuel vapors in the engine compartment. Combined with our type II anodizing, enhanced corrosion resistance ensures longevity and consistent performance, even in harsh conditions.
Perfect Sealing
Particularly effective in high-pressure environments, the compressive nature of O-rings allows them to maintain a seal even under fluctuating pressures, as they deform to fill gaps. High-performance O-rings also withstand extreme temperatures with ease.
Included in Package:
- 6061-T6 Aluminum Adapter Plate
- Custom Molded O-Rings
- Titanium Hardware
- 1x Stainless Steel Hose Fitting
- 1x 1/8" NPT Plug
- 1x 90° 8mm Quick Connect Fitting (For Turbo Lines)
HRD PTFE Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket for 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si (K24Z7)
The HRD PTFE Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket is a custom CNC cut gasket, made out of premium PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as Teflon. Compared to inferior thermoplastics, PTFE provides lower thermal conductivity and superior sealing ability.
This thermal gasket has been designed to work in conjunction with a coolant delete, such as from Tractuff. It also serves as a stencil when cutting your intake manifold so that you can achieve the perfect cut.
Superior Heat Resistance
Intake manifold gaskets are exposed to high temperatures from the engine and intake air. PTFE can withstand extreme heat, typically up to 260°C (500°F) and even higher for short durations, without degrading or losing its integrity. This heat resistance ensures that the gasket maintains a reliable seal even under the most demanding conditions, such as during prolonged high-performance driving.
Chemical Inertness
PTFE is chemically inert, meaning it resists reacting with most substances, including automotive fluids such as gasoline, oil, and coolant. This property is critical for intake manifold gaskets, as they come into contact with various chemicals that can degrade traditional gasket materials over time. PTFE’s chemical stability extends the lifespan of the gasket, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Low Friction and Self-Lubrication
PTFE’s low coefficient of friction allows it to create an effective seal without excessive force. This reduces the risk of deformation or damage during installation and operation. Its self-lubricating nature also helps prevent wear over time, maintaining the integrity of the gasket’s seal and enhancing engine performance.
Conformance and Flexibility
PTFE is highly conformable, meaning it can easily adapt to uneven or imperfect surfaces. This characteristic is vital for intake manifold gaskets, as they must form a tight seal between the manifold and the cylinder head to prevent air and fluid leaks. PTFE’s flexibility ensures a secure fit, even in cases of minor imperfections in the mating surfaces.
Durability and Longevity
PTFE gaskets are highly resistant to wear, aging, and environmental factors such as UV light and ozone. These properties make them ideal for applications where reliability and long service life are essential, such as in high-performance or turbocharged engines.
