Our Mission

At HRD, our mission is to set a new standard in the aftermarket automotive industry by championing transparency, insight, and genuine partnerships across our global supply chain. We engineer and design original performance components—backed by thorough research and development—to empower enthusiasts with products they can trust. By sharing how and where our parts are made, we aim to foster a deeper connection between drivers and their builds, and to uphold the belief that true innovation starts with honest relationships and a commitment to doing what’s right.

A little about us

Why the name Happy Racer? Yeah, it’s a bit silly. After all, engineering great components is pretty serious business. But it’s a reminder to enjoy the process. To not take ourselves too seriously.

We’ve spent two years going back and forth preparing to launch HRD. Most of our conversations were centered around “that would be cool” and then figuring it out. We don’t see these parts as widgets. To us, they are something more.

I can’t tell you how much time was spent discussing packaging. Or hardware. Man did we go down that rabbit hole. Even materials. “Wouldn’t it be cool to do 7075-T6 spanner wrenches?” "What about 304SS pillowballs?" “Sure, let’s do it.”

You see, this started more as a passion project. We didn’t take into account cost during development. It was an experiment in trying to create something really cool, and only then figuring out if it was a viable business after the fact.

Because it wasn’t about the money to us. Our team has been in the business for a  decade. But more importantly, we’ve been lifelong car enthusiasts. You can’t help but notice a shift in the aftermarket, we know we have.

Parts are starting to feel more like soulless widgets. Design has taken a backseat to cost minimization. Many brands are losing their core identities. But it shouldn’t have to be this way.

We created HRD in a vacuum. Pushing ourselves to create a new experience without limitations or pre-conceived notions. It is our belief that if we create something that is genuinely cool, the market will respond. We hope to set a new set of standards for the industry and the expectations enthusiasts have for the brands they support.
