Product Information
Overview
Both the 8th and 9th Gen Honda Civic Si have a wonderful chassis that responds incredibly well to both power and drivetrain mods alike. If you've added power to your build, done a few hard shifts, or even had your first track day you've probably noticed a major weak link. With added power, wheel hop becomes more prevalent. During hard cornering, putting down power doesn't feel as it should. When shifting hard, you just feel as if there is a lack of connection.
While the first step in remedying this is always to add a rear motor mount first, many enthusiasts desire an added level of connection to their drivetrain after having their first experience with an aftermarket mount. For the 8th or 9th Gen Honda Civic Si, the next step is to add an upgraded upper motor mount to further bring out the performance driving characteristics of the chassis.
We designed our upper motor mount from 7000-series billet aluminum - a far stronger and more robust alloy than the 6061 that is commonly used. It's over-engineered by choice. When you’re controlling the violent back-and-forth motion of your drivetrain, strength matters. Precision matters. So we machined it to tight tolerances, applied our iconic Midnight Navy anodized finish, and chose bushing materials with intent.
True to our dual duty philosophy, we include two full sets of bushings with each of these upper motor mounts. Our included 65A bushings are an excellent choice for the vast majority of enthusiasts seeking a dramatic upgrade over stock, without introducing excessive NVH. A second set of 80A bushings allow you to turn up the stiffness another few notches, great for dual duty purpose cars or track builds.
Your OEM mounts are designed to balance comfort and performance, with the intention of being an acceptable mass market result. Given you're reading this, it's safe to assume you're an enthusiast looking for something more. The HRD Precision Machined Upper Motor Mount is an excellent way to bring out the best out of your drivetrain, especially when paired with our rear motor mount offering. With the ease of installation, it makes this modification an easy choice for enthusiasts seeking a locked down feeling for their power delivery and shifts while reducing wheel hop.

Dual Duty Design
The modern enthusiast asks their car to live two very different lives. It has to start every morning, survive traffic, and stay quiet enough to hold a conversation. Then, on demand, it has to feel sharp, confident and absolutely ready to hunt lap times or podiums.
At Happy Racer Development, that tension is not a problem to hide, it's the foundation of our Dual Duty philosophy. From dampers to drivetrain mounts to shifting hardware, every HRD component is engineered to operate across a wide spectrum of use, delivering real performance without sacraficing the ability to actually live with the car.
Refinement without loss of drivability is where Dual Duty truly differentiates itself. Anyone can make a part that feels extreme for a few laps; our goal is controlled, repeatable performance that you can live with every day.
