Overview
The HRD "SPH" Shift Knob in Apex Silver (M10x1.5) begins it's life as a solid billet of 7075-T6 aluminum that is precision machined to our insatiable standards. Featuring a width of 50mm and a height of 68mm, we've designed our "SPH" shift knob to provide the perfect shape for consistent shifts time and time again.
In pursuit of perfection, we spent countless hours adding density to our design without altering the form factor of our "SPH" shift knob. This led us to decide on sculpting a deeply machined inner cavity, featuring a strategically placed stainless-steel slug. Yet even that wasn’t enough. A second cavity was machined to accept a stainless-steel threaded liner, adding both mass and long-term durability for drivers who frequently swap knobs. Together, these components create a sublime, weighted momentum, felt instantly in-hand and echoed in the mechanical honesty of each shift.
It wouldn't be HRD without integrating some of our iconic Titan Frost Ti, so we've machined the lower shift knob trim from the same titanium used on our motorsports-ready chassis, drivetrain, and suspension components. The end result is an object that proves even something as simple as a shift knob can be reimagined when engineered without compromise.

Technical Specs
This component is precision machined from billet 7075-T6. It features a strategically placed weighted stainless-steel slug, as well as a stainless-steel thread liner which are both permanently affixed during assembly. By utilizing this method, we were able to achieve an increase of approximately 45% in weight versus pure billet aluminum, without altering the curvature, shape, and size of our design. Additionally, the usage of stainless-steel thread liners is more resiliant for frequent shift knob swaps. The aluminum component of this shift knob is finished in a Type II anodize for a stunning finish that will last for years to come. Our design grants an undoubtedly authoritative feel with each shift, with a precisely engineered weight that is an absolute joy to use.

Dual Duty Design
The modern enthusiast asks their car to live two very different lives. It has to start every morning, survive traffic, and stay quiet enough to hold a conversation. Then, on demand, it has to feel sharp, confident and absolutely ready to hunt lap times or podiums.
At Happy Racer Development, that tension is not a problem to hide, it's the foundation of our Dual Duty philosophy. From dampers to drivetrain mounts to shifting hardware, every HRD component is engineered to operate across a wide spectrum of use, delivering real performance without sacraficing the ability to actually live with the car.
Refinement without loss of drivability is where Dual Duty truly differentiates itself. Anyone can make a part that feels extreme for a few laps; our goal is controlled, repeatable performance that you can live with every day.
